The International School of Älmhult has grown rapidly since it opened in 2000 and has currently over 190 students. It is situated in Älmhult in southern Sweden and it is a state school with support from Ikea of Sweden.

The local area, which has a population of approx 16 000, is peaceful and situated in an attractive area with nearby lakes and forests. The provincial town of Växjö is easily reached by either rail or road, as are other cities such as Stockholm or Copenhagen. The school was authorised for the International Baccalaureate's Primary Years Programme in May 2003 and for the Middle Years Programme in May 2009. The school has a friendly atmosphere. The classes are small and all lessons are given in English.

Our pupils are from all over the world and are educated in English. The International school is growing to meet the increased demand for places for pupils who need to be educated in English.

The applicant will:
Leading the preschool:
-Organization of the preschool
-Pedagogic leadership in preschool
-Working with health and safety in the preschool
Leading the Fritids:
-Organization of the Fritids
-Pedagogic leadership
-Working with health and safety in the fritids

KVALIFIKATIONER
We are looking for someone who:
-Has experience from working in an international environment and who sees diversity as an asset

-Has IB experience

-Has good knowledge of ICT and experience in presentations

-Has experience in working with group dynamic

-Would like to be a part of the planning for a new school
-Experience from Fritids and Preschool
-Fluent in English and good knowledge of Swedish
-Good knowledge of the Swedish curriculum as well as IB
